I am an attorney in the firm’s Wills, Trusts and Estates Planning group. I focus my estate planning practice primarily on building long-term client relationships. My experience includes assisting clients with the implementation of comprehensive estate plans to avoid probate and to minimize estate, income, and generation-skipping transfer taxation through the use of Wills and Trusts. This work also includes advising clients on trust funding matters and the designation of beneficiaries for beneficiary-designated assets to ensure that the ultimate distribution of those assets is properly coordinated with the overall estate plan.
I also work with families who have family members with disabilities by helping those families implement supplemental needs trusts for the sole benefit of the family member with a disability to enhance life options and to ensure continued eligibility for means-tested public benefits.
I also work with clients who are concerned about their long term care needs both from a pre-planning perspective in order to protect assets and to help ensure future eligibility for Medicaid nursing home benefits and from a crisis perspective to help accelerate eligibility for Medicaid nursing home benefits for those clients who have not done any pre-planning.
Lastly, I also work with fiduciaries on estate and trust administration matters to provide for the orderly and timely transfer of assets to the intended beneficiaries. This work includes the preparation of federal and state level estate tax returns.
A Manchester native, I presently live in southern New Hampshire with my wife and children. Outside of work, I enjoy my children’s extra-curricular activities, including band, baseball, basketball, football and soccer. I am a lifelong member of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, where I enjoy helping out with the annual Glendi festival.
