I have over 35 years of experience resolving all kinds of financial and business problems. My practice includes trade secrets, intellectual property, cyber-attacks, international transactions, contract and financial disputes, and business torts. I also help clients with disputes involving corporate governance and the transfer and control of wealth.

I advocate on behalf of public companies, medium-sized businesses, high net worth individuals, and financial institutions in federal and state appellate courts, trial courts, bankruptcy courts, probate courts, administrative tribunals and in arbitrations and mediations.

In addition to serving as an advocate both in the courtroom and in alternative dispute resolution proceedings, I advise business owners and corporate executives on how to manage risk, avoid disputes, and other problems related to a broad range of legal, business, and strategic matters.

One of my focuses is wireless telecommunications. I have helped several clients build networks by providing services which have included government relations, appearances before local land use boards, and litigation in state and federal courts.

I have successfully defended trademark infringement claims brought against one of the world’s largest corporations; represented a manufacturer of high technology products in trade secret litigation against a Chinese company, leading to a $6,000,000 recovery; and tried numerous other cases involving a wide spectrum of business, financial, and technology issues.

When there’s a break from my busy practice, I enjoy the advantages of living in northern New England. In the summer, that means sailing on Squam Lake, and in the winter, I try to catch the powder days in our White Mountains. You might also find me at local clubs playing guitar and singing. Community service projects are important to me, and I have served as a member of many non-profit boards.
