Attorney Laplaca to Moderate Panel Discussion at 2nd Annual Complex Commercial Litigation Conference
Boston, MA – Damian LaPlaca will moderate a panel discussion on the impact on commercial litigation one year after the Congressional enactment of the federal Defend Trade Secrets Act, which will be held on April 6, 2017, at the Hyatt Regency in Boston, Massachusetts.
The panel will discuss the scope and impact of this new statute on commercial litigation, its practical applications in employment, non-disclosure and non-compete agreements, and strategies for protecting proprietary information.

Damian LaPlaca is the Chair of the Intellectual Property Litigation Committee of the Massachusetts Bar Association. Damian devotes his practice to resolving intellectual property disputes, including patent infringement and trade secret litigation, and general commercial litigation. He is currently serving on a committee of the Federal Court in Boston to revise the Local Rule that governs patent litigation.
The conference will be the Second Annual Complex Commercial Litigation Conference sponsored by the Massachusetts Bar Association. This year's conference will feature a keynote address from retired Supreme Judicial Court Justice Margot Botsford.
The Second Annual Conference will attract practitioners in the areas of intellectual property, business litigation, and bankruptcy.
