Community Involvement

Our community involvement creates a positive, giving atmosphere within the firm; an important value that has been a cornerstone of Devine Millimet’s culture since the firm's founding in 1947. Our attorneys and staff are not only passionate client advocates, but passionate community advocates, volunteering their time and talents to charitable, civic, cultural, professional, and political organizations in order to give back to those in need. During the course of their involvement, most have assumed leadership roles by becoming trustees or board members.

Our Pro Bono Committee assists low-income tenants facing evictions, often on very short notice.

Community service is an expected part of what we do and is joyfully embraced across the firm. Employees know we value our communities and the people within these communities, and this translates to employees knowing the firm values them. The firm has repeatedly exhibited its generosity in raising funds or collecting donations for causes such as the American Heart Association, United Way, The Salvation Army, and the NH Food Bank.

Community Spotlights:

"Putt & Plunge" Fundraiser for the American Heart Association

Whenever possible, Devine Millimet fundraisers are infused with friendly and spirited competition as with this year's Putt and Plunge" event for the American Heart Association featuring an indoor 9-hole miniature golf tournament and an opportunity to plunge one of Devine Millimet's senior attorneys into a dunk tank. Hole sponsors for the event included: Associate Grocers of New England, Boyle Energy Services & Technology, Inc., Centrix Bank, EPTAM Plastics Ltd., Peoples United Bank, and The Sadler Insurance Agency, Inc. The firm successfully raised nearly $7,000 to benefit the American Heart Association's efforts in preventing heart attacks and strokes.

The Salvation Army Back to School Program

Devine Millimet is proud to have supported The Salvation Army's Back to School Program by donating backpacks, school supplies, and gift cards for new clothes. The Salvation Army provided school supplies to over 200 children this year and assisted other organizations, including: Neighborworks, Big Brothers Big Sisters, The Moore Center, Families in Transition, and homeless children identified by the City of Manchester's Homeless Liaison. A new backpack and a new outfit go a long way in boosting a child's spirit and building confidence.
